RECYCLABLE MATERIAL PREPARATION GUIDELINES

To be picked up, all material must be clean and dry
(and not mixed with trash/non-recyclables).


RECYCLABLE MATERIALS INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

Cardboard

·         Cereal Boxes, Pop Cases, etc.
·         Cleaned and Flattened
·         NOT mixed with trash

Paper

·         Newspaper, Junk Mail, Magazines
·         Mixed Office Paper, Computer Paper
·         Hard and Soft Cover Books, Phone Books
·         Kraft Paper Bags and Envelopes

Metal

·         Cans
·         Pots, Pans
·         Loose Aluminum Foil

Glass Containers

·         Clear

Plastic

·         #1 through #5 and #7 (look for the recycling arrows and number on the container)
·         Labels can still be on the metal cans, plastic containers, and glass containers.
·         Please keep the container glass separate from other recyclable material

THE FOLLOWING MATERIAL ISN’T RECYCLABLE!

PUT IT IN THE TRASH!!

·         Colored Glass

·         Styrofoam of any kind (#6 Plastic)

·         Any dirty or contaminated recyclable material

·         Wax or Plastic Coated Cardboard such as Milk & Juice Cartons or Butter Boxes

·         Wax Paper, Carbon Paper, Fax Paper, Photo’s

·         Tissues, Napkins, Paper Towels, Paper Plates

·         Crayon Drawings, Smoking Materials

·         Kraft Paper Bags with a Plastic Liner

·         Mirrors, Ceramics, Ovenware, Dishes

·         Cups, Clay Pots, Crystal, & Window Glass

·         Plate Glass, Light Bulbs, Medicine Bottles

·         Kitty Litter, Oil Dry, Saw Dust, Wood Scraps

·         Unmarked Plastic (No recycling arrows or number stamped on container)

·         Foil Lined Fiber Cans, Stretch Wrap

·         Plastic Packaging Wrap, Wrapping Paper, Film

·         Oil (Cooking Oil and Automotive Oil) Containers

·         Anti-Freeze Containers
